I like to say that a good relationship requires having a set of agreed to terms and conditions for the relationship, kind of like like those End User Licensing Agremeents we alwasy sign when downlaoding an app.
If we are clear and in alignment up front with what we find ok or not ok, then we run into less disagreements in the future.
Often times we assume whats ok with us is also ok for our partner, or we use other people's or society's norms to decide, which will lead to frustration. We need to get clear on what we want and dont want and ensure thats communicated early on and clearly.
